Our blood donors are amazing, selfless people who know that every unit of blood they donate can save up to three lives.
We like to honour them wherever we can and tell their stories in the hope that it will inspire others to follow the example they set by becoming donors and regularly donating blood.

Royson
Royson Naidoo has dedicated his life to donating blood and serving his community. His selflessness and unwavering commitment will inspire you to make a difference and save lives.
Johan
Johan Rudolph is a dedicated SAPS Officer from Kimberley. He's donated more than 250 units of blood while facing daily danger alongside his fellow officers. His commitment, on and off duty, is truly remarkable. Let's applaud this real-life hero for his unwavering dedication to our community.

These two remarkable young men have followed in their parents’ footsteps as blood donors. Both have first-hand experience of the impact of this selfless act and have taken on the responsibility to shape the future of blood donation, ensuring their parents’ legacy lives on. Sibongeleni
Sibongeleni Hlongwane, a 23-year-old from Pietermaritzburg, began his journey of blood donation at 17 while still in high school. His commitment to donating blood is his way of giving back to society. He encourages other young people to explore the meaningful act of blood donation and participate in community blood drives.
Luke
Luke Barnard has been a committed blood donor for over 50 years. When his wife needed a life-saving transfusion, her life was saved by strangers. This changed how Luke viewed blood donation. He believes in giving back regularly, ensuring families can share precious moments. Luke stays healthy with jogging, spinning, golf, and other activities. Please follow his inspiring lead and donate blood to keep our blood stocks high and to give someone the gift of life.
